About Us.

New Life conference is a one-day Bible teaching conference organised by the Anglican Diocese of Armidale for the women of the New England and North West.

Our mission is to provide quality Bible teaching to encourage women in their relationship with Jesus and equip them to serve Him in their local communities.

Join us at New Life 2026 as Jocelyn Bignill opens the book of Lamentations and helps us discover how God meets us in our deepest grief and sorrow.

In seasons of pain and heartbreak, it can often feel as though God is distant or unaware of our suffering. Yet throughout Scripture, God invites His people to bring their sadness, questions, and struggles honestly before Him.

Together, we’ll explore the practice of lament - learning how God draws near to us in our darkest moments and offers hope in the midst of sorrow.

Come and be encouraged by the truth that we are never alone in our suffering, and that even in grief, God remains faithful and near.

Jocelyn Bignill

Jocelyn is the Assistant Minister at All Saints Petersham and is passionate about helping God's people dig deeply into His Word and discover truths that shape and transform their lives.

Tamworth is not unfamiliar to Jocelyn. She spent four years here from 2010, working as a high school teacher and completing her ministry training as an MTS trainee at a local parish before moving to Sydney to study at theological college.

When she’s not teaching the Bible, Jocelyn loves spending time with friends and family, taking long walks, pottering around at home with craft and cooking projects, and doting on her beloved dog, Angus.

Almost a week on and still revelling in New Life 2024.

Our conference couldn’t happen without the dedication and hard work of all our volunteers each year. This year we had 6 committee members that worked tirelessly all year, and were joined by over 50 volunteers that served in many ways. From set up to hospitality, tech and music to welcoming, and so much more, each played a viral role in making the day run smoothly.

Get ready for New Life 2024! 🗺️ Here’s what you need to know about arrival and registration.

WHEN - Doors will open at 9:00am and the conference will commence promptly at 9:30am. Allow enough time to park, pick up your registration pack and find a seat before then. The coffee cart will be available before the conference with EFTPOS available.

WHERE - Calrossy Anglican School - William Cowper Campus (Moore Creek Road, North Tamworth). Parking attendants will be present to direct parking on the day - there in ample parking available. For those who require wheelchair or low mobility access you are welcome to drop your passenger/s safely to the door of the conference and continue onto the parking area behind the hall.

WHAT TO BRING - Your bible, a pen and some extra layers as it can get quite breezy on the hill. For those with ‘self catered’ tickets - don’t forget to bring your morning tea and lunch.

When you arrive, chat to our welcome team about facilities available for you and they’ll point out the:
Pram parking area - if you’re wanting to leave your pram somewhere nearby.
Pram seating - where the rows are made especially wide to accommodate both you and your pram.
Mums & Bubs Room - made especially cozy with an audio link to the sessions, baby play things and changing facilities.

Meet Susanne, one of our New Life women.

Susanne says: “I cling to hope on a daily basis, because the state of the world tempts me to worry about the future. We see so much going so wrong, so constantly. But when I lift my eyes, I see my Heavenly Father with His arms open, because He has adopted me as His own through Jesus’ death on the cross. That unfailing love gives me a strong foundation for a hopeful and secure eternal life. I’m looking forward to learning more at the conference so that I can deepen my faith and understanding, and go forward with my hope grounded in the assurance of God’s promises, rather than trying to find peace in worldly hope, which is so often uncertain. It’s definitely a much better way to look to the future.”

Meet Ruth, one of our New Life women.

Ruth says: “I have been to a number of New Life Conferences. Each year I look forward to meeting my old friends from different places. It is like a mini reunion. I also love meeting and connecting with Christian women from my town. The music and talks are wonderful and the personal stories are inspiring. This year’s theme is one that I know will encourage me in my Christian walk. We all go through some challenging times and experience suffering. So knowing God’s great love, we also know we have a future hope. I am looking forward to being part of New Life again this year.”

“God loves it when we mature each other – he wants every single member of his family to get involved in growing each other up! I love the moment when I’m alongside sisters in Christ, we have our heads down in the Scriptures, and then through prayer and conversation, we help each other to understand and apply God’s word to our lives.

I’m confident God is going to be at work at the New Life Conference. He’s revealed himself to us, and by his Spirit and his word, we will come to know him better! During the sessions, and as we sing, pray and talk, we will be teaching, correcting, rebuking and training each other in righteousness, won’t we? I’m looking forward to working through the text of Romans 8 and going deep in such an iconic chapter of the Bible. I’m confident God will bless us all through this special day!”
